The role
You will build and improve WordPress websites where implementation quality matters as much as appearance. The work includes custom front-end development, structured content, integrations and the technical care required after launch.
What you will work on
- Build responsive WordPress websites from approved design systems
- Develop and maintain custom themes, blocks and reusable components
- Configure Gutenberg and appropriate builders without creating fragile layouts
- Support WooCommerce functionality where it belongs in the project
- Improve Core Web Vitals, accessibility and front-end performance
- Implement forms, analytics, APIs and third-party integrations
- Debug issues and maintain existing WordPress installations
What we are looking for
- Solid WordPress development experience with examples of shipped work
- Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals
- Working PHP knowledge for themes, hooks and integrations
- Understanding of responsive implementation and browser QA
- Ability to balance editor flexibility with maintainable code
- Comfort using Git and communicating implementation decisions
Nice to have
- Custom Gutenberg block experience
- WooCommerce project experience
- Technical SEO fundamentals
- Experience maintaining multilingual websites
