OpenCart Developer
Build and improve OpenCart stores whose catalogue, checkout and integrations support real commercial operations.
The role
This role exists to make OpenCart platforms more dependable, maintainable and useful to the businesses operating them. You will work across new builds, upgrades, custom functionality and the integrations behind day-to-day commerce.
What you will work on
- Develop and maintain OpenCart stores, extensions and custom modules
- Implement approved themes accurately across desktop and mobile
- Build and support API, XML, payment and courier integrations
- Plan and execute platform, extension and PHP compatibility upgrades
- Investigate checkout, catalogue, performance and order-flow issues
- Document technical dependencies, configuration and deployment steps
- Collaborate on QA, releases and ongoing platform maintenance
What we are looking for
- Practical experience developing or maintaining OpenCart projects
- Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Ability to understand an existing codebase before changing it
- Experience debugging integrations and production issues methodically
- Comfort using Git and a structured release workflow
- Clear written communication in Greek and working English
Nice to have
- OpenCart 3 or 4 migration experience
- Experience with ERP or marketplace integrations
- Linux hosting and command-line familiarity
- Performance profiling for commerce platforms
